Pobeda to go to police after attack from Chinese servers

MOSCOW, Aug 13 (PRIME) -- Russian low-cost airline Pobeda, part of the Aeroflot group, will ask the police to identify organizers of a heavy DDoS attack on its booking website from Chinese servers, Pobeda CEO Andrei Kalmykov said on Tuesday, as quoted by the press service.

“We are responsible for the comfort and money of our clients, that’s why all check-ins for Pobeda flights in foreign airports will be done at our expense today, because yesterday the procedure was made difficult by the DDoS attack…we’ll go to the law enforcement entities and seek to know organizers of the attack to bring them to justice,” Kalmykov said.

Firm Navitaire, which registers the whole booking traffic of Pobeda, said it was done from Chinese IP addresses.

Pobeda said on Monday its website experienced a heavy DDoS attack, which caused problems in the work of the website as the airline offered cheap tickets.
